HR Business Partner

We are seeking a dedicated HR Business Partner for an ongoing temporary assignment with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The role is based in Fareham, requiring the successful applicant to commute to the office 4 days a week with the flexibility of 1 day working from home. Public sector experience is advantageous for this position.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide strategic and operational HR support to various departments within the organisation.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that comply with current legislation.
  • Work closely with management and staff to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Manage complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement, and redundancy.
  • Advise on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits.
  • Undertake regular salary reviews and conduct job evaluations.
  • Analyse training needs in conjunction with departmental managers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must hold a CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • Ability to design strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to HR management and staff.
  • In-depth knowledge of labour law and HR best practices.
  • Public sector experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Must be able to obtain a DBS check.
