Lecturer in Beauty Therapy and Makeup (Maternity Cover)
£26,451 - £41,247 per annum
37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Fixed term Maternity cover.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified teacher to join our vibrant and professional Hair and Beauty team at Brighton MET as a level 1 lecturer in Hair and Beauty. Located in the heart of the city of Brighton, our Metro salon offers our students an exceptional opportunity to learn, develop skills and thrive in a commercial salon setting.
Job Overview:
- To undertake teaching and assessing activities in the curriculum area, ensuring a high quality of provision, in response to learners' needs.
- To work collaboratively and innovatively with managers and colleagues to design, develop, manage and review programmes in the curriculum area.
- To ensure that student needs are met in a responsive way, in line with the concept of inclusive learning.
Selected essential/preferred criteria requirements:
- Level 2/3 qualification in Beauty Therapy essential
- Level 2/3 qualification in Hairdressing essential
- Relevant Industry experience
- Level 2 literacy and numeracy
- IT proficient and confident with Microsoft Office
- Committed to student support
- Teaching qualification essential
- Assessors qualification essential
- Internal Quality Assurance qualification preferred
The working pattern for this role will be Monday-Friday 8.30am-5.00pm.
