Our Operational Risk team are looking to recruit for a Senior Controls Assurance Manager.
The role is responsible for the development and maintenance of frameworks for confirming that key controls are operating as intended and to ensure there is effective incident management and evaluation when controls fail. This position will be the subject matter expert in effective internal controls; providing challenge, solving problems and providing support to enable the first line to implement cost-effective, proportionate controls to mitigate their risks.
Our ideal applicant will have extensive experience of control assessments across enterprise, they will have experience of and the ability to provide coaching and support to the business across all functions to consider, design and evaluate the effectiveness of their controls. They will also be experienced in writing assurance reports for senior managers and committees. Although supporting the whole organisation. It is essential that the successful applicant can demonstrate understanding of the investment lifecycle and the associated risks and key controls in that space. As this role will be managing 1 member of staff (Risk & Controls Assurance Manager), we are looking for previous line management or supervisory experience, this can be gained by already being a manager or as a project lead.
