Interim Commercial Finance Director (FD)

to provide crucial financial leadership during a period of transition and change. This interim role offers a unique opportunity to shape my client's financial direction and make an immediate impact.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Financial Oversight: Provide financial leadership, ensuring the company's financial strategy supports its commercial objectives and long-term goals.
  • Commercial Analysis & Insights: Deliver strategic commercial insights to guide decision-making, product development, pricing strategies, and new market opportunities.
  • Financial Planning & Budgeting: Oversee short-term and long-term budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, ensuring robust financial controls.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Ensure the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports in compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements.
  • Operational Efficiency: Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiency across all areas of the business to improve profitability.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead and support the finance team during the interim period, ensuring stability and continuity.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a key financial advisor to the CEO, board of directors, and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment.
  • Risk Management: Maintain oversight of financial risk management, ensuring compliance with governance, regulatory, and legal obligations.

**Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Director or similar senior finance role, ideally in a commercial environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a track record of driving business growth through strategic financial management.
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Ability to deliver commercial insights and influence business strategy at the executive level.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and mentoring finance teams through periods of change.
  • Hands-on approach, with the ability to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
