2nd Line Helpdesk Engineer - Contract Vacancy

IR35 Status: Inside

Rate: £180 - £200 p/d

Working Location: Rochester - Hybrid (Friday remote)

Contract Length: 3 months

My client has a requirement for a 2nd Line Helpdesk Engineer on a 3-month contract. The client is a Managed Service Provider who helps Kent businesses and charities to achieve success by keeping systems operational, data secure and teams empowered with the right tools for the job. They provide support to over 2000 users across Kent and the Southeast.

They require a 2nd Line Helpdesk Engineer to provide during a busy period amongst several key contracts being won.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd line support for hardware and software issues across multiple endpoints.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues escalated from 1st line support.
  • Manage and resolve complex technical incidents and service requests efficiently.
  • Ensure all issues are logged, prioritized, and resolved within agreed SLAs.

Technical

  • Manage Microsoft 365 environments (user management, Exchange, SharePoint, InTune, Teams)
  • Azure
  • Apple Macs
  • PowerShell
  • Endpoint (Management and Support)
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
