Are you passionate about transforming the lives of vulnerable children? Tradewind are seeking a committed teacher to support every aspect of a child's development to better their life chances.

On behalf of our client school, Tradewind are looking for an ECT to cover various classes in a school situated in a diverse community in Reddish, Stockport. The position will commence October 2024 and will be full-time until the end of the academic year provide security and an attractive rate of pay. The school strongly support children as the most important consideration and look to appoint an individual who has a strong drive to support pupils from vulnerable backgrounds. The nature of this role is to cover staff release for PPA so the school are looking for a confident individual who Is adaptable, enjoys variance and has strong subject knowledge across KS1 and KS2.

PPA Cover Teacher

As the PPA cover teacher, you will be responsible for teaching children in KS1 and KS2 and be tasked with supporting the delivery of lessons across the curriculum.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out professional duties and have responsibility for KS1/KS2 classes
  • You will be tasked with creating exciting and engaging lessons aiming to utilise all of the schools resources looking far beyond the confines of a classroom.
  • Complete appropriate teaching, marking and assessment activities so each child can achieve their potential.
  • Employ differentiation and individualised learning strategies required to meet the needs of all pupils who will have had varying degrees of success in their educational lives
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day work and management of the class and the safety and welfare of the pupils, during on-site and off-site activities.
  • Promote the aims and objectives of the school and maintain its philosophy of education.
  • Build and maintain strong links with children, parents and staff to support best outcomes for children.

To be successful in this PPA Teacher role, you will:

  • Hold QTS Certification
  • Have experience teaching across KS1 and KS2
  • Be able to provide an up-to-date CV covering 10 years of previous employment history with no gaps
  • Be subject to an enhanced DBS check and overseas police check (if applicable)
  • Have a right to work in the UK.
