Position: School Caretaker
Start Date: September 2024
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Are you an experienced caretaker or facilities manager looking for a rewarding role in a friendly and supportive environment? We are seeking a dedicated School Caretaker to join our small primary school in South Sheffield starting in September 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
- Opening and Closing: Open the school building at the start of the day in preparation for staff and pupils and secure the building at the end of the day.
- General Maintenance: Perform general maintenance tasks to ensure the school building is well-maintained and in good working order.
- Safety and Comfort: Ensure the building is a comfortable and safe environment for both staff and pupils.
- Daily Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the school facilities, including minor repairs, cleaning, and liaising with external contractors as needed.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: Proven experience as a caretaker or facilities manager, ideally in a school or similar environment.
- Skills: Strong practical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Reliability: Dependable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Commitment: Ability to work split shifts, Monday to Friday, ensuring the school is well-prepared for daily activities.
- Supportive Community: Work in a small, friendly primary school with a supportive team.
