Cover Supervisor

Career Teacher are currently seeking to appoint a number of highly motivated Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools in Leeds starting in September 2024.

As a cover supervisor you will be responsible for managing classrooms of between 25 and 30 pupils within secondary schools. You will be tasked with managing behaviour whilst overseeing the pre-planned work that students will be doing. You will be expected to establish and maintain a positive learning environment and ensure that all pupils complete the required work to a high standard. You could be deployed in different schools across a given week, so will need to be flexible and adaptable, able to accept work at very short notice. This is agency work, and the work is based on demand, but the reassuring thing is that we are busy all year round based on past trends.

You will need to have a relentless focus on achieving the highest standards, and the ability to work well in a team. You will possess passion for working with young people and be firmly committed to developing the character of students.

I would like to hear from candidates with experience of working with secondary aged students who also has the confidence to manage behaviour You don't have to have a specific teaching qualification to undertake this work as all work is pre-planned and you will simply be required to supervise the classroom and provide a presence in the class.

All quoted rates are inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay.
