Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Compliance Coordinator (H&S / Health and Safety) for our client based in Braintree on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will have previous exposure to Health and Safety, or Compliance, or will be a strong administrator who is looking to progress into a compliance focussed role.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Managing the Health & Safety on a daily basis
- Planning and implementing improvements and changes, ensuring legal compliance and safe working practices
- Working closely with other departments and employees to investigate accidents and incidents and making recommendations to prevent reoccurrence
- Develop and deliver training regimes that promote safe working culture and safe working practices
- Maintaining communication with industrial / government & legislative bodies
- Promoting a strong safety culture across all areas of the business
- Developing a reduction in incident/accident rates
- Carrying out safety inspections and internal audits
- Writing and reviewing risk assessments
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Ideally some exposure to health and safety or compliance, however somebody with strong administrative skills will also succeed in the position
- Professional approach towards work
- A genuine interest in Health & Safety / compliance
- Strong written communication skills
Working hours are flexible and will be either Monday - Friday:
8am - 4pm
9am - 5pm
10am - 6pm.
This is a full time, on site position totalling 35 hours weekly.
In return our client offers a salary up to £27,500 per annum depending on experience, modern office facilities, free on site parking and a discounted on site canteen as well as 22 days annual leave + bank holidays which increases with each year of service.
