The Head of Accumulation Management to support our European Operations Division. You will establish yourself as a trusted advisor to the EO management team and help them understand the potential implications of catastrophes. In this highly technical and senior role, you will use sophisticated models to analyse the potential impact of natural catastrophes and help optimise opportunities.

You will report to Global Head of CAT accumulation management and will be accountable to support the EO Division's CAT accumulation management activities, and to coordinate/support the related Group requirements.

Your new role

  • Advise divisional management on CAT accumulation activities
  • Lead for EO catastrophe accumulation management activities
  • Oversee catastrophe modelling process and manage analysis workflow including the gathering and interpretation of information from systems, clients, brokers, and underwriters; and processing through the catastrophe modelling software
  • Monitor catastrophe exposures to meet corporate capacity guidelines
  • Support catastrophe reinsurance placements
  • Support insurance cat pricing for individual accounts and product classes
  • Create accurate forecasts of catastrophe exposure to support financial planning and managed allocated

Your story so far

  • Experience of leading a small team
  • Good understanding of insurance and experience in catastrophe modelling field
  • Ability to take complex topics and present them in a simple story
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with financial planning
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel combined with experience with programming tools such as SQL
