Job Title: Heart Responder
Location: Doncaster
Pay Rate: £11.44 per hour
Type: Rotational (3 on, 3 off)
Average Weekly Hours: 26.25 hours
Responsibilities:
- Emergency Response: Work on a rota basis, predominantly covering day shifts (6 am to 2 pm) and afternoon shifts (2 pm to 10 pm). Respond to alarm activations in people's homes using appropriate equipment for safe manual handling. Initially, you'll receive mentoring/training, but you'll eventually work independently.
- Assistive Technology Installation: Install assistive technology equipment in people's homes after training/mentoring. This role is completed individually.
- IT Systems: Utilize various IT systems to support equipment installation, maintenance, and alarm response.
- Emergency Assessment: Following telecare alarm activations, provide an emergency response in customers' homes. Assess the customer's status and act accordingly.
Requirements:
- Qualification: QCF Level 2 or a relevant Social Care qualification.
- Experience: Worked with adults in a health and social care environment.
- Understanding: Familiarity with multi-disciplinary working and awareness of service users' physical, social, and emotional needs.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills, ability to write legible daily reports, and assess risks and individual abilities.
- Knowledge: Understanding of Dementia, Safeguarding Adults, and Health and Safety.
- Driving License: Valid driving license required; travel around the borough is essential for the role.
- English Fluency: As a customer-facing role, fluency in spoken English is necessary.
