The Role – Accounts Assistant
Reporting into the Accounts Manager as the Accounts Assistant you will be tasked with ensuring that daily financial and accounting tasks are achieved accurately and on time whilst providing a strong support function to the wider business, as directed by the Operations Director. You will ideally have experience in a similar role and be a confident user of both accounting packages, ideally Sage or similar and Microsoft Excel.
On a daily basis, your responsibilities will include:
- Purchase ledger processing.
- Sales ledger including credit control.
- Issuing PO numbers as required.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Collation of time and attendance for payroll purposes.
- Resolving any accounts queries both from on site staff and off-site engineers.
- Providing financial information to senior management as required.
- Assisting with the production of financial reports on a monthly and annual basis.
- General accounts administration.
