Working within the manufacturing sector is a fast paced environment and will provide different scenarios to test your skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Microsoft Windows Server Administration: Oversee and troubleshoot server issues to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Network Device Management: Manage and maintain network devices including switches, routers, VLANs, and WiFi systems.
- Network Services Operations: Administer and support network services such as Active Directory (AD), DHCP, and DNS.
- EDR Solutions Support: Provide support for Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions to safeguard our IT infrastructure.
- IT Project Management: Evaluate alternative solutions and manage the implementation of IT projects from start to finish.
- Collaboration with 3rd Party Providers: Work with external support providers to deliver effective IT solutions for our company.
- Implementation and Upgrades: Implement new IT solutions and upgrade existing systems to enhance performance and security.
- Client PC Troubleshooting: Assist IT colleagues in troubleshooting and resolving client PC issues.
- Technical Processes and Policies Design: Design and implement new technical processes and policies to improve IT operations.
Your profile:
- Previous experience in a similar role;
- Familiar with working in an ITIL based organisation;
- Excellent skills with Windows Server and Client;
- Great understanding of networking, preferably Cisco;
- A desire to learn new skills and provide excellent levels of service;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Great attention to detail;
- Full driving license, as occasional travel within the UK will be necessary for incident management and project work
