About the Job:

This part-time role (3 or 4 days per week) offers a unique opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to join a growing finance team. Working closely with the Management Accountant and Finance Director, you will play a key role in developing financial and production accounting processes, ensuring best practices across the business.

Duties will include:

  • Managing the Accounts Assistant to ensure accurate and timely ledger entries.
  • Processing purchase orders and supplier invoices using Xero, Zudello, and Cin7Core.
  • Maintaining and reporting on Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and internal audit controls.
  • Overseeing monthly and year-end account closure processes.
  • Ensuring accurate stock reporting and inter-company transactions.
  • Managing Accounts Receivable, credit checks, and payment processing.
  • Collaborating on cashflow forecasting and budgetary controls.
  • Supporting payroll accounting and providing decision support to the management team.

About the Successful Applicant:

The ideal candidate will be a part-qualified or qualified by experience. Proficiency in Xero and Cin7Core, intermediate Excel skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential. You should be well-organised, detail-oriented, and possess strong analytical abilities. Own transport is required due to the rural location.
