We are seeking a dedicated Culinary Arts Lecturer with a passion for teaching and a strong background in professional cookery. This role involves delivering City and Guilds NVQ in Culinary Arts and Professional Cookery programmes, as well as VRQ Patisserie levels 2 & 3, to a diverse group of learners including adults and 16-18 study programme students.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and informative lessons in Culinary Arts and Professional Cookery from level 1 to level 3, and Patisserie levels 2 & 3.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure academic success.
  • Develop and update curriculum materials in line with industry standards and educational best practices.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, contributing to the continuous improvement of the programmes.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and grades.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to students, fostering a positive learning environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A1 or TAQA Assessor qualifications are essential.
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience in a college setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of Culinary Arts, Professional Cookery, and Patisserie.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students from various backgrounds.
