Our client in Truro City Centre are searching for experienced full time Front of House Waiting Staff to expand their friendly team on a permanent basis.
You must have experience of working in hospitality or a customer facing environment, together with a real enthusiasm and passion for service excellence.
Responsibilities (but not limited too):
- Explaining menu items, reviewing our wine and cocktail menu and talking about any daily specials
- Be able to answer questions about menu dishes, ingredients and any possible allergy questions
- Taking customers' orders for food and drink in a timely manner
- Passing customer orders along to kitchen staff - ensuring the ticket is written correctly
- Preparing drinks if needed and serving them to customers
- Collecting food orders from the kitchen, verifying that the order is correct, and delivering it to the customer
- Check back after 5 minutes to ensure everything is ok
- Removing used dishes, glasses, and flatware from the table and laying it up ready for the next course
You also must be reliable, hard working and be able to work well as part of our friendly team.
Experience in a similar busy role required must be flexible and able to work evenings and weekends around Hotel & Restaurant opening hours - 7am - Midnight - 7 days per week- across 3 services Breakfast / Lunch / Evening.
£11.50 per hour plus a share of the 7.5% service charge
