Interim Senior Finance Business Partner

Are you experienced in leading teams of Management Accountants and Finance Business Partners? Are you looking for a new interim contract in which you'll look after established stakeholder relationships and support a changing and improving Finance function? Do you have experience and awareness of Social Housing or Local Authority capital environments?

My client is a public sector organisation in South Yorkshire looking for an interim Senior Finance Business Partner on a six-month contract. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team of four Management Accountants and Finance Business Partners, overseeing their activity in budget monitoring cycles
  • Managing established relationships with non-finance stakeholders
  • Leading on the upcoming budgeting process
  • Sense-checking management accounts and reporting variances to senior leadership.

This post would especially suit those who have seen a Housing and/or Local Authority environment before. The team aims to gather in the South Yorkshire office three times per week.

To be considered, here's the criteria to meet:

  • Ideally hold a full accountancy qualification, though those with strong applicable experience can be considered without this.
  • Be an experienced team leader with demonstrable strength in supporting Business Partnering endeavours
  • Have experience in Social Housing, Local Authority, or other capital-intensive environments.
