Do you have a couple of years' experience delivering Automotive Test projects under your belt? Are you looking for that next step in your career within a leading Test facility?

Our client offers over 70 km of unique tracks: high speed circuit, 4×4 tracks, alpine tracks, durability, as well as facilities dedicated to connected and automated vehicles and is looking for a Senior Engineer to become a key part within their propulsion team.

Personal development is at the heart of this position as over time you will become more autonomous and expected to run more complex project work as customer demands change.

So, what will you do:

  • Deliver engineering objectives set by the Senior Engineer, Principal Engineer, or Engineering Manager.
  • Generate engine installation packs and schematics for accurate test bed setups.
  • Identify engine/test delivery faults and collaborate with others to find effective solutions.
  • Process and validate engine test data.
  • Analyse engine data and understand correct trends and causes for concern.
  • Track project efficiency and maintain project related invoicing.
  • Devise and lead initiatives to reduce waste and optimise efficiency.

What skills and experience you need?

  • Automotive/Mechanical Engineering HND, Degree (Relevant experience of testbed operation will be considered in place of qualifications.)
  • 2 years minimum experience in an automotive engineering discipline
  • Test bed experience in an automotive testing environment.
  • Instrumentation experience (thermocouples, pressure transducers etc.).
  • Able to create test automation procedures/schedules with a view to maximize automated running.
