Manufacturing Operations Manager for a small fast-growth Defence support organisation;
Minimum 10+ years of Management experience in Manufacturing and New product development organisation.
The Operations Manager's duties will include:
Manage day to day activities related to Operations.
Oversee the Manufacturing and Design engineering departments
Manufacturing Operations
Engineering departments : Test engineering/Process Engineering/Configuration Control/NPI – New product introduction/HR Department /Quality Management /PMO / IT systems Administration – application specific (Not IT department tasks)
Experience and skills
Minimum 10+ years of Management experience in Manufacturing and New product development organisation.
A broad understanding of all the functions in a manufacturing organisation. Order entry, procurement, production, Stores, Quality, Engineering, Health and safety and personnel.
Good understanding of electronics - especially Telecom, RF technology and embedded microcontrollers including firmware.
Good understanding of physical and transactional processes in a company.
Good understanding of production processes within Electronics design and Manufacturing. Good understanding of Mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
Good understanding of financial systems within a manufacturing company
Good understanding of Project management and principles
Good understanding of organisation and company structure
Good understanding of Management (direct people management and management of teams)
Good understanding of ERP systems
Good experience of quality management systems
