At Grundon, we're all about innovation and advancements in technology – so, if you're ready to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into a new job that's rewarding and offers upskilling opportunities, we have a lot to offer at our clean and well-equipped vehicle workshop near Wallingford. As HGV Technician, you can expect fleet work and a starting annual salary of circa £47,500 plus a host of benefits, including:

- Discretionary company bonuses

- Pension scheme (you contribute 5% of pay, Grundon matches this) with life insurance cover

- 31 days' annual leave (inclusive of 8 bank holidays), which will increase with service, plus the option to buy up to 5 extra days' holiday

What you'll be doing as HGV Technician

As well as preparing new vehicles (including EVs) for release into service, our six workshops also look after all Grundon commercial fleet issues, such as correcting daily defects, service maintenance and MOTs. Joining a small team of HGV Technicians, you will maintain our mixed fleet of rigid and articulated vehicles to high standards in line with DVSA requirements.

Subject to satisfactory progress, we will put you through training to achieve IMI level 4 (Electric Vehicle Course) and your IRTEC Large Vehicle Inspection qualification, as well as manufacturer body training courses for a wide variety of equipment types. No HGV licence? No problem – we'll put you through the training.
