Michelle Denny Recruitment is delighted to partner with a well-established local business located on the Norfolk/Suffolk border in their search for an experienced Account Manager. This newly created hybrid role combines a nice mix of building strong relationships with an already well-established client base, alongside capitalising on your business development skills to extend the reach of their unique products and services.

This full-time position offers the flexibility of hybrid working, comes with a salary of £35,000 and Private healthcare.

This trusted business continues to remain at the forefront of their market by investing heavily in their machinery and staff to ensure every aspect of the business delivers high-quality services. As Account/Development Manager you will play a pivotal role by maximising the potential of their already successful products and services, alongside expanding, and nurturing their extensive client base.

As Account Manager you'll need to

  • Communicate clearly and support existing business contracts, follow up to ensure each client is satisfied with the company's products and services.
  • Research and identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, customers, products, and services, with new ways of reaching existing markets.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives to ensure the plant is running to capacity.
  • Generate leads and cold call prospective customers, both face to face and over the phone.
  • Foster and develop strong relationships with customers, clients, and partners to enable repeat business as well as finding new opportunities.
  • Be hands on when required and have the ability to work collaboratively within all areas of the business including the customer service team who will support in account management.
  • Attend exhibitions and fairs to successfully promote products and services.

You will have/be:

  • Experience within an account manager role, proficient in business development, ideally with a production/manufacturing background, it would be a real advantage if you have experience within the printing, packaging, or conversion industry.
  • Dedication and commitment with the ability to forge strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
  • A strategic approach to promote business development, with a professional and personable nature to maintain and expand the existing client base.
  • Resourceful in nature with the ability to research the market to identify credible leads, and the capability to gain knowledge and insight into existing clients to generate repeat business.
  • A personable, professional approach to negotiations with a confidence to deliver great presentations to potential clients and structured sales strategy to senior management.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with marketing and other areas of the business to deliver company objectives.
  • Good IT skills including knowledge of Sage 200 and the Microsoft Suite.
  • A valid UK driving license with no more than 3 penalty points, as some travel would be required.
