We are currently working with a distributor of specialist hardware who now has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Import & Export Administrator to join their friendly team based in Cheshire.

Role Purpose:

Responsible for the Coordination and Administration of Stock Receipts, Customs Clearance and Administrative Office Duties.

To communicate effectively with our Suppliers and Freight Forwarders/Couriers on a regular basis.

Duties include:

  • Maintain and Process all Stock Receipt Shipments.
  • Capture and Maintain uplifts associated to Stock Receipt Shipments.
  • First stage receipt of Purchase Orders, including all Import Charges.
  • Liaise with Freight Forwarder/Couriers, providing information to enable the Import of Consignments.
  • Liaise with Goods-in over Shipment Discrepancies.
  • Report Shipment Discrepancies to the Supplier and Finance Department.
  • Second Stage Receipting of Purchase Orders.
  • Maintain, Record and Analyse Freight Forwarder/Courier Invoices.
  • Liaise with Supplier, Freight Forwarders/Couriers and Import/Export Coordinator to meet on-time delivery.
  • Monitor performance of key Freight Forwarders/Couriers and serve as a resource to resolve issues/problems.
  • Provide Customs Clearance instructions for both Imports and Export Clearance requests.
  • Record, Process and Analyse Supplier Invoices.
  • Administration of Supplier Invoices in the shared Finance mailbox.
  • Administration of Cargoes In-Transit providing key information for internal and external expectation.
  • Creation and Processing of Supply Chain Department Friday Reports.
  • Daily Stock Value report submitted to Finance.

Essential Skills

  • A minimum of 2-years proven experience in a similar Supply Chain Role, including coordinating / supporting Inbound and Outbound Shipments.
  • Previous Import Duty / Customs Procedures.
  • Highly Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • High level administration skills.
  • Excellent planning skills.
  • IT literate with Microsoft software.
  • Highly numerate.
  • Be able to plan, prioritise and organise responsibilities and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both Suppliers and Internal.
  • Good spoken and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team.
