As a Payroll and Pensions Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring payroll operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the effective and smooth running of the payroll function.
  • Process all payroll and pensions tasks in line with agreed processes and timescales.
  • Undertake ad-hoc duties related to pensions, supporting the Pensions & Payroll Specialist and Financial Controller.
  • Assist other members of the small corporate team as needed.
  • Process payroll for 250 employees, ensuring compliance with HMRC legislation and NHS Pension Scheme rules.
  • Support pension-related tasks, including handling starters, leavers, and changes, and managing monthly and annual reports.

What They're Looking For:

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in payroll and pensions, with a solid understanding of Sage 50.
  • Skills: A strong eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work to strict deadlines.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday).
