Payroll Administrator Part time Flexible Hours

An iconic family-run business with over 50 years of history is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join their friendly and supportive Accounts Team.

This part-time role is initially temporary, with the potential to become permanent.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the weekly payroll for over 200 staff members, requiring a keen eye for detail, strong numeracy skills.

Day to Day of the role:

Reporting to the Payroll Manager
Preparation and submission of the weekly payroll for approximately 200 employees, managing the process from start to finish.
Ensuring accuracy when checking payroll summaries. Maintaining holiday and absence records.
Completing various payroll reports.
Processing starters and leavers.
Understanding and applying knowledge of statutory payments.
Responding to and resolving payroll queries

Required Skills & Qualifications:

A minimum of two years of experience in payroll is advantageous. Excellent communication skills. Proficiency in Excel. Experience with Opera Payroll is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided. Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of payroll.

Benefits:

Competitive hourly rate of £13.50, dependent on experience. Part of a supportive Accounts Team. Flexible working hours across across 4 days - (Core days: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday) , 20 hours per week.

Some flexibility required during key times such as Bank Holidays, sickness, holidays, and Year-End.
