Grafton Banks Finance are supporting a business on the outskirts of Lewes, East Sussex to recruit a part-time, experienced Accounts Assistant who has an excellent understanding of the accounting fundamentals around VAT, Accounts and Credit Control. You'll be tasked with supporting a small close knit finance team with helping to create a process-driven and efficient department while also making sure the Finance Support is completed each month. The ideal candidate would be enthusiastic, professional and well-organised and should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sales & Purchase ledger entry and reconciliation of supplier statements
- Paying and liaising with suppliers
- Bank account entry and reconciliation
- Credit card, Cash and Staff expense entry
- Journal entries
- General accounts administration
- Purchase Orders
- Credit control and debt management
The successful candidate will have proven practical experience within finance and be comfortable across a range of software's. The role will be predominately office based but there will be a chance in the future to have some flexible working. Working Part Time 25 hours a week ideally over 4-5 days a week Monday – Friday. Due to the location you must be able to drive to get to the office location.
