Trainee Sheriff Officer - Glasgow

We now have an immediate vacancy for a Trainee Sheriff Officer based in Glasgow.

This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week. Hours of work: Monday - Friday 08.30am to 5.00pm.

Scott & Co is a leading provider of debt recovery, enforcement and citation services. We are part of Marston Holdings, the UK's largest judicial services group, providing integrated court order compliance.

We are looking for a confident, self-motivated individual, looking for a new challenge and to gain a new qualification to build a career with us at Scott & Co.

The role will be focused on giving you a qualification and 121 learning and support with our Sheriff Officers. After you have gained your qualification with us, you will be qualified to be a Sheriff Officer for Scott & Co, which includes an increase in salary along with a company car and the opportunity to train as a messenger at arms.

What you will be doing:

  • Assisting the Sheriff Officer in the execution of their duties
  • Processing service updates, reports and fees in real time via Optimise Tablet platform
  • Checking documents for accuracy, corroborating facts and dialogue obtained during customer interactions.
  • On road training from experienced Sheriff Officer
  • Weekly Training sessions delivered by Training & Development Manager
  • Homework assignments
  • Regular progress assessments

What you will need to succeed:

  • SCQF Level 4 or equivalent.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence
