Inclusion Support Worker

Five Education are recruiting motivated candidates who are looking to work as Inclusion Support Workers in various education settings in Bristol. The young people you will be supporting are at risk of exclusion.

If you have knowledge of attachment needs and a good understanding of how to support children with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs, you will be a fantastic asset to the schools.

Responsibilities and duties:

Supporting 1:1 in class

Help facilitate the children's communication

Help the pupils to access the curriculum and possibly tailor the lesson of the activity to their level of ability

Encourage the child's independence and interaction with peers

Be a support to the pupils when they are struggling, and help them to calm down and remain focussed

Build a strong relationship with the pupils and teaching staff to ensure that the pupils are achieving their potential

Essential Criteria:

Strong sense of empathy and resilience

2 years' worth of references, needs to be recent and this could be paid or volunteer work

A relevant DBS/Police checks

Able to work between 08.30-15.30 and 2-5 days a week

The pay rate is £12.81* an hour. The day is 7 hours with an unpaid 30 min lunch break. Your daily rate of pay would be £83.29* but with a potential to earn more based on level of experience. *Including holiday pay.

Pay: Five Education operates a PAYE payroll; this is the most transparent way to be paid with no hidden fees such as admin fee or employer's NI. Please note pay rate is for illustration and does include holiday pay.

Successful applicants will be required to undergo checks including reference checks, TRA checks and will need to have a DBS; there will also be an interview.
