Senior Finance Manager

Hertfordshire (Hybrid)

Circa £75,000 - £85,000 (Depending on Experience) + Car Allowance + Bonus

This is key succession and talent hire which represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Qualified Finance Leader with 2-5 years + PQE to join this growing circa £2B business which continues to lead the market and is investing heavily to take advantage of huge growth opportunities.

The role has a clear development roadmap which will ultimately end up with successful candidate becoming the Head of Finance for a highly profitable part of the business in a role that will give end to end financial responsibility for the division working closely with Divisional Heads as part of the Leadership Team.

What we are looking for:

  • Must be qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA with 2-5 years PQE +
  • You will have sounds technical accounting knowledge coupled with excellent commercial and analytical skills that allow you to fully understand the dynamics of a complex business and how to pull the right commercial levers across multiple revenue streams.
  • Previous experience of bring Financial Reporting and Financial Planning to life to in order to fully understand and articulate opportunities and trends that can be turned into actionable strategies for growth.
  • The ability to ensure the team integrates cross functionally so that interdependencies are full understood and result in cohesive ways of working, processes and controls.
  • Act as and encourage the team to deliver insightful financial insight with a focus on true business partnering, considered decision support and valued adding analytics.
  • The ability to work across the wider finance community to contribute of Group initiative, the development of reporting, process and controls which drive efficiencies
  • Whilst calibre and previous track record are more important, previous experience within Retail, Technology, Leisure or FMCG would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience of mentoring, leading and developing staff is a must.
  • You must be able thrive in a collaborative culture that puts people first and foremost.
  • Whilst this is very much a business partnering role it requires sounds technical accounting experience and knowledge to ensure strong financial controls and balance sheet integrity.
  • You must have a demonstrable track record of expanding your remit through both self-development and development of others.
