About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RGN or RNLD) to join our team in Neath. This role involves providing specialized care for a young man with profound learning difficulties and complex continuing healthcare needs. Your skills and commitment will make a significant difference in his daily life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care, tailored to the unique needs of the individual.
- Administer and manage medication as required.
- Perform specific healthcare tasks including oral suctioning and managing a Mic-Key feeding tube.
- Monitor and respond to epilepsy care needs.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to the individual and their family.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse qualification (RGN or RNLD) with current NMC registration.
- Experience in working with individuals with profound learning difficulties and complex needs is desirable but not essential.
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable, with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to work the specified schedule.
