Mechanical Engineer NI County Antrim - Lisburn 12 month Contract
The successful candidate will be part of the requisition engineering team, focusing on customer project execution. They will predominantly work on modifications and enhancements to the standard products to meet customer requirements.
Below is a summary of the day-to-day tasks.
- Assessment of customer technical specifications.
- Delivery of design work packages ranging from part modification to new part or assembly design.
- Ensure an accurate bill of materials is produced for each design.
- Provide hands on support for first article inspections and type testing.
- Complete administrative tasks relevant to the engineering design process.
- Participate in project calls to provide progress updates or seek clarifications.
- Provide occasional support for production and customer related issues within area of expertise.
Essential Requirements
- Mechanical engineering degree, or degree in a similar field.
- 5+ years performing design activities in an industrial setting.
- Experienced with interpreting industry standards.
- Proven history of managing multiple design tasks.
- Strong communication skills with ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Experienced with CAD applications: Solidworks and AutoCAD.
