Sales Engineer - Heavy Industry - West Sussex

Our Client:

One of UKs premier designers and manufacturers of mission critical pumps for safety critical industries, such as Oil & Gas.

With a close-knit but growing (due to an ever-increasing orderbook) team, they are seeking the a sales engineer, who matches the companies ethos and ambitions for growth, and can pair this with strong technical knowledge of pumps, an understanding of the Oil and Gas industry, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Your Role:

Achieve the agreed level of turnover for Packages, Pumps, Spares and Repairs business in accordance with the company's overall budget objectives.

Respond to and follow up all sales bids/tenders and RFQ's for Packages, Pumps, Spares and Repairs in line with the Company's operating procedures and policies.

Work actively to promote the company globally across given territories, working with Agents who promote the company within nominated Countries.

Your Responsibilities:

Process all sales activities relating to the Bid/Tender/RFQ in a timely manner, communicating internally and externally using the appropriate methods to ensure the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.

Accurately monitoring and reporting on the market and competitors' activities and provide relevant reports and information.

Entering RFQ's and Sales orders received into the company database (CRM) in line with procedures.

Listening to customer requirements, understanding all customers specifications and data sheets, and presenting, bidding appropriately within the specified requirements to ensure the sale.

Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers in person, via telephone calls and written correspondence.

Arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business.

Gather good sound Market and Customer information and data, working with the Sales team to develop and an effective marketing strategy.

Attend team meetings and sharing best practices with colleagues.
