SEN Teacher

Empowering Learning are supporting a nationally recognised alternative education provider who has schools based across the UK. They are seeking to appoint an SEN Teacher on a permanent basis, for one of their provisions based in the Buckinghamshire area, from September 2024 or sooner (Dependent on availability).

The provision current supports 20 pupils on roll, to ensure they can provide the required tailored opportunities for children who need a nurturing, encouraging and supportive environment, specifically for those who will reintegrate back into a mainstream setting. The school consists of a core team of the Head of School, three teachers, and three support staff. Further support is also provided by regional and national staff, who work with a number of schools across the group.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • QTS / QTLS
  • Experience teaching secondary aged children in an SEN or Secondary school setting
  • Proven track record of raising attainment, supporting behavioural challenges and demonstrating high levels of pastoral care.
  • Enthusiastic about alternative education methodologies
  • A commitment to holistic student development
  • Ready to bring fresh ideas and creativity to the classroom and outside it
  • Passionate about making a positive impact on students' lives

Salary offered: £30,000 - £40,000 (Dependent on experience)
