What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for an experienced digital advisor who is passionate about digital transformation, to join our small team as part of the exciting, fast-paced Waste Regulation Reform Programme.

As a Senior Digital Advisor, you will have experience of delivering digital projects. You will apply this to support the delivery of digital needs across different projects within the programme, likely with a focus on Waste Electricals and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), Batteries and International Waste Shipments.
In this role you will:

Support the delivery of the changes to digital services that form part of the projects under the Waste Regulation Reform Programme. This role will focus on WEEE, Batteries and International Waste Shipments, but you will be expected to work flexibly between projects depending on needs.
Work collaboratively with teams from the Environment Agency, Defra and elsewhere to understand and track the digital changes that are being delivered as part of the waste reforms.
Facilitate engagement between project teams, delivery partners and others across the business to coordinate the delivery and integration of the changes to digital services.
You will be able to demonstrate the following:
Essential:
An ability to operate in a complex and fast-moving environment, understanding linkages, interdependencies and risks;
Experience of working on projects involving the development of digital services and agile project management.
An ability to work flexibly and independently, being able to initiate and manage delivery of tasks as part of a complex workload;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to explain complex subjects to a varied audience;
Experience of building and maintaining relationships with colleagues and partners in dispersed networks and as part of work as a team;
Skilled at persuading and influencing outcomes through understanding others' needs and adapting your approach.

Desirable:
Knowledge or experience of Government Digital Service (GDS) and Waste Regulation is desirable but not essential.
Excellent IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.

This is an excellent Interim opportunity until March 2025 initially, supporting Internal and External Customers delivering against changing digital regulation.
