We are seeking an Asset Manager to join our housing team within the local authority in Kirklees. The ideal candidate will be highly focused on data and systems management to meticulously track and manage our budget. This role is integral to ensuring the effective oversight of our housing assets.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Oversee the management of housing assets, ensuring a strategic approach to long-term asset management.
- Utilise data and systems to monitor, track, and report on budget allocations and expenditures.
- Develop and implement asset management plans and policies.
- Conduct data analysis to inform decision-making and improve asset performance.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure the integration of asset management with other key functions.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on the status of assets and budgetary considerations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in asset management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in asset management, preferably within the housing sector.
- Strong focus on data and systems for budget tracking and management.
- Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
- Proficient in the use of asset management software and tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations related to housing and asset management.
