We are working with a brilliant school in Slough that are seeking a passionate individual to take on the role of Behaviour Mentor. The role is a full time position beginning in September 2024 in the Slough area, supporting students with additional needs facing behaviour challenges throughout the school day.
Responsibilities of a Behaviour Mentor:
- 1-1 support for students with SEMH needs
- Observing triggers for episodes of bad behaviour
- Identifying effective regulation tactics when facing challenging behaviour
- Setting goals for students to work and achieve
- Participate in staff meetings to share observations and input on care plans
- Keep students motivated and engaged in lessons
The school's approach to teaching their students includes encouraging self-investigation and independence as well as an educational curriculum. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will need to encourage the students to recognise their own potential and aim to achieve it.
