About the Role:

Our client, a leading company in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of their production facilities, focusing primarily on electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks. Your expertise will contribute to minimising downtime and optimising productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on a range of machinery and equipment
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults on production machinery, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
  • Assist with mechanical maintenance as required, demonstrating a multi-skilled approach
  • Carry out electrical installations, modifications, and improvements in line with industry standards
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
  • Collaborate with the production team to improve overall equipment efficiency and reliability
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical background
  • Qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification is highly desirable
  • Experience with MIG and TIG welding is desirable
  • Experience with PLC fault finding and basic programming is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, with the ability to carry out basic mechanical repairs
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work shifts and respond to emergency call-outs when required
