The Role: As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with a range of learning needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one support and assistance to students with special educational needs (SEN) in the classroom.
- Collaborating with teachers and SENCOs to implement individualised learning plans.
- Supporting students with their academic and social development, fostering independence and confidence.
- Assisting with the preparation of materials and resources to support learning activities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is essential.
- A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to collaborate and contribute to a supportive team environment.
- Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs would be advantageous.
