Here at Contract Personnel, we are recruiting an experienced Fabrication Supervisor (Twilights) to join the fabrication department, to drive the team to success. As a world-renowned car manufacturer, my client is looking to add experience, alongside leadership, to drive the fabrication department to greater success.

Overview

The purpose of the role is to lead the fabrication team forwards, managing all of the processes including machinery and tools, ensure quality is met to the client's satisfaction and ensure the department is running efficiently for future growth and demand.

The Role

Contract – Full time, Permanent

Salary – based on experience

Location – Norfolk

Hours – Twilight shifts

Expectations

  • Ensuring the daily/weekly activities are set to ensure tasks are delivered on time, achieving quality and efficiency
  • Adhering to company policy and processes
  • Ensuring all excess components are correctly stored, labelled and disposed of
  • Leading through communication – briefing, meetings, appraisals
  • Focusing on continuous improvement activities – measuring success and reporting to management
  • Ensuring PPE is maintained at all times, minimising health or safety issues
  • Safety audits, risk analysis and accident investigation
  • Manage attendance – return to work briefs and formal/informal discussions
  • Managing and evaluating team performance – appraisals, one-to-ones, training completion records
  • Assisting with recruitment tasks – interviewing, booking appointments
  • Inducting and training new and returning staff
  • Ensuring environmental standards are met
  • Help achieve KPI's

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal English language – able to receive and provide instructions
  • Time-served experience in a production/manufacturing environment
  • Computer literate
  • Strong numeracy skills – ability to understand documentation
  • Working well under pressure and deadlines/KPI's
  • MUST have supervisory experience
  • Honest, trustworthy, flexible, proactive, enthusiastic and communicative
  • Understand basic employment law and HSE knowledge
