We are seeking a Production Engineer to provide essential engineering support within our clients manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting CAD drawings, managing manufacturing orders, and optimising manufacturing processes. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of ERP systems and the ability to lead and train a production team.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Interpret CAD drawings and accurately transfer data into BOMs on the ERP system (Syteline / SAP).
  • Analyse, plan, and manage all Manufacturing orders, workloads, and Bill of Materials.
  • Provide technical leadership to the production team, driving process optimisation and resolving technical challenges.
  • Prepare and update manufacturing process documentation (SOPs) and tooling for product manufacture.
  • Achieve ERP ‘super-user' status and act as the main trainer/advisor for Manufacturing Planning and Production staff.
  • Coordinate planning, material, and system updates in response to design changes and ensure adherence to quality control procedures.
  • Attend and represent Manufacturing at various departmental and ERP/Planning review meetings.
  • Oversee and ensure conformance by Production staff in job time/progress booking and adherence to job-track/ERP processes.
  • Assess production schedules in advance and manage materials requirements for in-house Manufacturing and subcontract demands.
  • Review and prepare process control documentation for audits.
  • Undertake ongoing training in relevant industry standards and practices.
  • Work additional hours/weekends during busy periods as needed.
  • Adhere to all company Health and Safety Policies and drive company vehicles when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven skills and experience in understanding CAD drawings.
  • Knowledge in manufacturing processes such as Vac form, machine shop, injection moulding, or final assembly.
  • Excellent organisational and IT skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.
  • Flexibility towards hours of work and willingness to work overtime during busy periods.
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills to liaise with other departments.
