  • Full Time and Part Time available (4 days or 5 days)
  • Permanent position
  • £26,000 - £32,000 per year FTE+ excellent benefits
  • Social hours – No late nights/night shift working
  • Previous product knowledge not required. Training provided
  • Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for alarm call-outs required

About the role:

As part of our team of supervisors, you will oversee various aspects of the store, including stock organisation, customer service, and health and safety, ensuring the best experience for our customers. You'll be responsible for planning, multitasking, and reacting effectively to situations as they arise, all while maintaining regular communication with your team.

In this role, you will also be involved in staff inductions, training, reviews, and day-to-day management, contributing to the ongoing success of our large store, which includes warehouses, a car park, and a delivery yard.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Supervise team, collaborate, and lead initiatives
  • Higher level reference person for customer queries
  • Manage customer flows
  • Maintain morale, customer service, and operational compliance
  • Manage stock, store appearance, and coordinate sales promotions
  • Communicate with manager, oversee activities, and manage shop/warehouse operations
  • Handle goods, replenishment, tills, and demonstrate effective management
  • Address shrinkage, wastage, security, and fulfil key-holding/alarm duties

Hours

  • The store is open 7 days (Monday to Friday 7-6, Saturday 8-5 and Sunday 10-4)
  • Full time hours are 40 per week (usually over 4 or 5 days), planned on a rota basis
  • Alternative hours considered on a pro-rata salary scale - minimum of 4 days per week
  • No night shift/late night working planned

About you:

Ideally, you'll either be a supervisor already or well on your way to becoming one with a wealth of operational experience in either retail, warehouse, service, or production industries.
