Join our dynamic team located in Huddersfield, where we are seeking a dedicated Year 6 Teacher to lead and inspire our students. This is a full-time day-to-day position starting in September 2024 and extending until January 2025.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons across the full range of primary subjects, with a focus on preparing Year 6 students for their transition to secondary school.
  • SATs Preparation: Provide targeted support and guidance to help students excel in their SATs examinations, ensuring they are fully prepared for the rigors of testing.
  • Individualized Learning:Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students, providing additional support or extension activities as necessary to ensure all learners reach their potential.
  • Behaviour Management: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where mutual respect, cooperation, and a love for learning are encouraged and celebrated.
  • Parental Engagement: Establish strong partnerships with parents and caregivers, maintaining open communication channels to share progress, address concerns, and collaborate on strategies to support student learning and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one) is essential.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant experience teaching in a primary school setting, preferably with experience teaching Year 6 or preparing students for SATs examinations.
  • Excellent knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies, with a commitment to delivering high-quality education and fostering academic excellence.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
