Job title: Senior Receptionist

Role: Permanant

Hours: Monday- Friday 9-5 office based

Salary: £30,191 to £33,576 Per Annum

Location: Kings Cross

Role Overview: The Senior Receptionist will have day-to-day responsibility for the reception services across both buildings. This includes ensuring reception desks are always covered during core hours and delivering efficient, consistent service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee reception services across both sites.
  • Ensure reception desks are staffed during core hours.
  • Deliver efficient and consistent service.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and staff.
  • Implement organisational improvements to enhance service delivery.
  • Create rotas for all reception cover

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in a customer-focused environment at a supervisory level.
  • Experience of leading or supervising others
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality service and making improvements.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Teams
  • Experience of delivering high-quality services in a customer-focused environment.
  • Familiarity with safety and security protocols.
  • Experience of working in a multi-tenanted commercial building or business centre.

Communication:

  • Clear and confident in verbal and written communications.
  • Ability to remain calm and assertive under pressure and use discretion when dealing with difficult or sensitive situations.
  • Ability to receive and provide constructive feedback.
  • Experience of producing written documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Experience of providing senior managers with reports or service status updates.

Teamwork & Motivation:

  • Dynamic and positive attitude with the ability to promote a culture of cooperation and teamwork by being a key part of a successful Front of House team.

Initiative & Problem Solving:

  • Ability to work on own initiative and without close supervision.
  • Approachable and adaptable attitude to respond to unexpected changes.
  • Experience of developing and implementing new processes to improve efficiency.

Planning and Organisation:

  • Knowledge of creating rotas and managing staffing levels to ensure cover during core hours.
