Operations Account Manager

Milton Keynes OR Basingstoke (depending on candidate location) – Hybrid

Monday – Friday – 08:45 – 17:30 – No weekends, No bank holidays

Our well established and reputable client are currently seeking an Operations Account Manager to join their team due to continued business growth. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with prior Account Manager experience and extensive knowledge of Umbrella companies to play a pivotal role in the growth of the department.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of all elements of Umbrella companies. Our client are keen to find a candidate with strong analytical and client management skills, as they will be heavily involved in the day-to-day operations of the department, while also supporting client needs and working to achieve critical accreditations including FCSA and Professional Passport.

Excellent communication skills along with an understanding and interest in compliance is essential.

Key Duties:

  • Form an instrumental part in the identification, development and implementation of key requirements and processes
  • To manage the busy day-to-day communications from both workers and external agencies
  • Manage a range of customer queries including (but not limited to): pay, holidays, statutory entitlements and contractual matters.
  • To ensure all workers are legally compliant by checking: data forms, contracts and eligibility to work/ Right to Work checks.
  • Be responsible for onboarding new workers, including issuing all relevant onboarding documents.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, including ensuring any relevant documentation (e.g. Contracts) are in place.
  • Ensuring that we are legally compliant, managing and maintaining our accreditations with Professional Passport and FCSA.
  • Helping collate payroll information ready for finance to run payroll.
  • Supporting the PAYE payroll function initially when not involved in Umbrella duties.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar role with an Umbrella Company is essential
  • Ability to show good initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence to work in a highly proactive manner, often without direction
  • Full understanding of MS Office packages including Excel
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information
  • Good mathematical skills and a confidence dealing with numbers
  • Experience with Payroll would be beneficial however, not essential
  • Able to work in a structured manner
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Understanding of FCSA accreditation would be beneficial
