Job Title: Quality Assurance & Internal Compliance Manager

Salary: £90,000 + Bonus

Hybrid - twice a week to Essex

To ensure that processes meet the organisation's quality standards and customer requirements they will oversee the Quality Assurance of the organisation's end-to-end processes to ensure consistent adherence to SDLC testing policies, standards, reports, and procedures, ensuring comprehensive and robust quality strategies and test plans are produced and adhered to prior to, and including, internal acceptance and/or delivery.

A key element of the role will be to identify and remedy control and process weaknesses, discussing these observations and where appropriate escalating and agreeing remedies with senior management, as well as preparing and presenting regular and ad-hoc reports and findings to senior management and the Board, and ensuring resulting process improvements are introduced and adhered to throughout the organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of all Quality Assurance and internal audit across all business operations
  • Review and develop SDLC QA management processes
  • Monitor and regularly report on all Quality Assurance items and trends.
  • Proactively identify and quickly address problems in process / procedure
  • Work collaboratively with teams across the organisation to ensure compliance with Quality Assurance processes and standards
  • Create and maintain documentation and reports related to Quality Assurance processes and procedures
  • Monitor the organisation's risk management, governance and internal control processes and ensure they are operating effectively
  • Establish quality management reporting, KPIs and metrics dashboard MI
  • Continuously improve the Quality Assurance process by identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions
  • Provide regular reports on the status of Quality Assurance testing to management.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • ISO29001 Compliant
  • Experience in a smaller company
  • A background in IT management, Quality Assurance, internal audit, project management and risk management is essential
  • Minimum of 10 year's experience in IT software delivery using industry recognised methodologies and processes.
  • A strong knowledge and understanding of internal audit requirements, quality standards and quality best practices
  • Experience in working with teams across multiple locations.
