I have been tasked by a leading Insurance business in the MGA space to hire a Chief Technology Officer on a permanent basis. To be considered you must be in the UK and due to fit and proper checks you will need to have been in the UK for the past five years.

My client is a dynamic and innovative MGA insurance company committed to providing top-notch insurance solutions. They are aware that they need to futureproof the business through harnessing technology and utilising strong process change. Initially you will fact find and learn about the business and its process and then execute the necessary changes. The business is also aware that the change could be packaged and sold to other similar businesses globally.

They are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead technology strategy and innovation efforts.

Chief Technology Officer Specification:

  • Develop and execute the technology vision and strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.
  • Lead and manage the IT department to drive innovation and deliver high-quality technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with other executives to prioritize technology initiatives and projects.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Ensure the company's technology infrastructure is secure, scalable, and capable of supporting future growth.
  • Stay current with technological trends and advancements, incorporating them into the company's strategy when appropriate.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing technology team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and improvement within the technology department.
  • Manage relationships with external technology partners and vendors.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices for software development, security, and infrastructure management.
  • Identify opportunities for technology innovation to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
  • Implement data-driven strategies to optimize and automate processes.
  • Ensure all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Implement robust risk management strategies to safeguard company data and operations.
  • Strong knowledge of current and emerging technologies, particularly in the areas of software development, automation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and data analytics.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills with a track record of managing successful technology teams.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to communicate a clear vision and inspire others.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
