Prospero Teaching is looking for a Head of RE to join an Ofsted Good, mixed secondary school.
The school is based in Barnet, North West London, which is an Outer London school.

This Head of RE teaching position starts in September 2024 and is a full-time teaching position. The dept aims to meet the demands of the National Curriculum for RE and you will lead a team of RE teachers. The Headteacher is seeking an experienced RE teacher who can deliver well-planned lessons, keep up-to-date with national developments in RE, pedagogy, and methodology and lead the teachers within the RE department. You will be leading a team of 7 qualified RE teachers.

_THE HEAD OF RE TEACHING JOB: _

  • Full-time Head of RE teaching role
  • Teaching Key stage 3 and Key Stage 4 and possibly Key Stage 5
  • Edexcel
  • This is a mainstream, Ofsted Outstanding secondary school
  • Full time (5 days a week) teaching position including planning and marking
  • Parking is available on-site and the school is well-served by public transport

ABOUT THE SUCCESSFUL HEAD OF RE WILL BE

  • An outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven track record of excellent results and a compelling vision for improvement.
  • A team player, able to lead and inspire colleagues and pupils alike.
  • Able to teach to A-level.
  • Ideally hold a teaching qualification (QTS or QTLS preferred) or equivalent.
  • Someone who can manage students of different abilities and differentiate lessons in line with the needs of the students
  • You will be proactive and innovative with the ability to engage students in different ways.
