Dispensary Technician

Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day operations of the research dispensary, ensuring the provision of high-quality, accurately dispensed chemical and biological materials.
- Utilise liquid handling robots and employ accurate weighing techniques to ensure precise dispensation of chemicals.
- Assist in the receipt and management of new research samples and chemical reagents from internal and external sources.
- Collaborate with scientists to understand sample supply requirements and test scheduling.
- Solubilise and reformat samples into microtitre plate format, enabling testing on biological test platforms.
Requirements:
- A Levels or a degree in a life science discipline (preferably Chemistry or Biology). Previous experience in a relevant industry or environment will also be considered.
- An appetite for learning and problem-solving, coupled with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in IT, including knowledge of software systems, database querying and reporting tools, and lab LIMS systems.
- Experience with liquid handling automation systems would be highly beneficial.
