Robertson Bell is thrilled to partner with an incredible charity in their search for a permanent Accounts Payable Supervisor. Reporting directly to the Head of Accounts Payable, this role offers the chance to oversee a large and dynamic Accounts Payable function while leading and developing a dedicated and stable team.
The main responsibilities of this Accounts Payable Supervisor role include:
- Full supervision of an accounts payable team, including workflow management and review, providing training and support and giving them the opportunity to reach their full potential.
- Lead and manage a team of seven Accounts Payable Assistants, including one Senior Accounts Payable Assistant, adapting your management style to their diverse strengths and skill sets.
- Oversee credit card and corporate card expenses, including report creation, data importation (using Barclaycard/Mastercard), and ensuring accuracy for nearly 1500 cards.
- Handle various hands-on responsibilities such as internal wire transfers, setting up new suppliers, resolving escalated queries, ensuring mailbox actions, managing international payments, and checking VAT payments.
- Ensure smooth payment runs twice a week, including checking new vendors and maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.

- Proven experience supervising a team of at least three direct reports.
- Fantastic communication and interpersonal skills and be confident in Excel.

- A solid understanding of credit and corporate card processes, familiarity with MasterCard and monthly data importation is a plus.
