  • Negotiable rates : £480+ per week

I am currently working in partnership with a high achieving Mainstream School located in the Royal London Borough of Greenwich, South East London. The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team. This position is full-time (term-time only) and ASAP start. You will be supporting the class Teacher within a Year 2 class.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Undertaking structured and agreed learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities to ensure achievement of learning goals
  • Assisting with the supervision of children out of lesson times, such as playtime and lunchtime duty
  • Establishing good relationships with children, acting as a role model
  • Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all children, supporting difference and ensuring that all have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
  • Supporting the child with their learning and development in areas such as literacy, numeracy, Key Stage and/or subject specific

Ideal Teaching Assistant:

  • Graduates who studied either Psychology, Criminology, Education Studies or Creative Arts are welcome to apply!
  • Has experience working with children in a school setting
  • Has personal interests in supporting children and young people with special needs
  • A positive, proactive, and patient individual who has a can-do attitude and is willing to learn
  • A team player and has great communication skills
  • Being able to build good working relationships with students and staff

Teaching Assistant's Main Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the class teacher with planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities, as well as monitoring and assessing children's achievement and progress
  • Actively involved in a wide range of activities, promoting the physical, cognitive, cultural, social, and emotional well-being of the pupils
  • Actively interacting with children through play-based and sensory-related activities
