We are currently working with a vibrant and inclusive Wirral based primary school that aims to provide a high-quality education for all children. We are looking for an upper key stage 2 specialist to work in a Year 6 class. This primary teaching job will start asap and is fixed term for one year.
Your new role
In this Year 6 class teaching job you will be responsible for planning, delivering and assessing the curriculum in line with the national standards and the school's vision and values.
As the Year 6 class teacher and part of the upper Key Stage 2 teaching team, you will work closely with SLT and the Key Stage 2 TAs to help the children settle into their new class and prepare for their SATs, and ensure continuity and progression across the year group.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in securing this Wirral based Primary Teaching role you will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience of teaching within primary schools (ideally KS2) within the last 3 years that we can reference
- A proven track record of raising attainment and progress in key stage two
- Experience of working towards the Year 6 SATs exams would be an advantage
- Excellent subject knowledge and pedagogical skills
- A positive and flexible attitude
- A commitment to professional development and teamwork
- A willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school
